About Me

I was born and raised in Michigan, where I began my journey into the workforce at the age of 13, doing commercial cleaning and babysitting. During my senior year of high school, I worked at a local bowling/golf center and started managing events. After graduating, I entered the retail world at a nearby convenience store. At twenty-five, I decided to pursue my education and obtained two associate degrees from Delta College, followed by a bachelor's degree in marketing and management with a minor in international management from Northwood University. While studying, I ran my own house cleaning business and gained valuable experience through co-op positions at GM's Final Drive Unit and Dow Corning. After graduation, I took on a role that involved learning exporting, where I helped increase their exports from 10% to 40% of their business in collaboration with the owner. After marriage, I returned to the convenience store, this time in the accounting department, where I identified inconsistencies in paperwork, preventing theft and fraud. Feeling unchallenged in accounting, I transitioned to Dow Chemical (now Dow) to coordinate training classes across various business units. Upon completing those programs, I ventured into the Interior Design/Furniture sector, acquiring additional skills in delivery coordination. Eventually, I became the office manager of a historical theatre, gaining extensive knowledge in event coordination and the entertainment industry. This role involved everything from running the box office to managing the needs of national touring artists, making it one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. However, life led me to manage a bed and breakfast, though that opportunity fell through when the owners opted not to sell. My next move was to take a marketing position with the local university, where I honed my skills in marketing tools such as InDesign, Constant Contact, Photoshop, Adobe, and website maintenance. After this contract, I engaged in various contract work, including my involvement with Michigan Collegiate DECA, where I first coordinated the yearly state conference and later took charge of membership and financial coordination. Currently, I serve as the volunteer Executive Director for this student organization. Throughout all this, I have coordinated numerous events for family and friends, from Christmas parties to baby showers, and even weddings and funerals. I was then asked to oversee the day-to-day operations of the GLBMA, where I applied my expertise in event coordination, board relations, and grant administration. Over five years, I managed a $1.25 million grant for the industry 4.0 Initiative, covering 17 counties. As the organization evolved, it became clear that it was time for me to embrace my love of travel and take a leap of faith. This eclectic background has equipped me to assist others effectively, especially in the realm of Michigan concierge services and personal concierge tasks. As my cousin says, we focus on being essential, not excessive—it's not about charging the most, but about helping good people become better. While I could have simply posted my resume, I prefer to express my journey as a better representation of my work history. I look forward to collaborating with you.
